Our Alumni
The alumni of the Biology and Biotechnology Department have become leaders in medicine, pharmaceuticals, conservation, education, and marine biology, among other cutting-edge fields. They carry with them advanced degrees from prestigious graduate schools, including WPI, and respected medical schools throughout the world.
While the paths and careers they choose to pursue are varied, our alumni all have in common the benefit of WPI’s project-enriched education. They consistently point to WPI’s philosophy of combining Theory and Practice as a main reason for their success. This focus on real-world problem solving, learning to work in teams, developing important research skills, and collaborating across disciplines gives our alumni the skills and confidence needed to hit the ground running in any field.
Another thing our alumni all have in common–they consistently recommend a WPI education to others.
