Minor
Students seeking a basic understanding of how mathematics and computer science are applied to solving biological problems — whether as preparation for a bioscience-centered career or as an added skillset for graduate school—may wish to consider a minor in Bioinformatics & Computational Biology (BCB).
Students pursing the BCB minor take solid foundation courses in the three fields that make up this area: biology, mathematics, and computer science. Students must also take at least one BCB course that uses quantitative methods to pose and answer biological problems.
