Professors Billiar, Camesano, and Gaudette visit China

From October 26th - November 2nd 2011, three WPI Engineering faculty members traveled to China to explore collaborative opportunities with two of the top engineering universities in the country.

From October 26th - November 2nd 2011, three WPI Engineering faculty members traveled to China to explore collaborative opportunities with two of the top engineering universities in the country. Professors Terri Camesano (Chemical Engineering), Kris Billiar (Biomedical Engineering), and Glenn Gaudette (Biomedical Engineering) visited Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University to discuss prospective partnerships with these institutions. The professors concluded there is significant potential for partnership and collaborative grant proposals on projects including water purification and membrane filtration, tissue engineering, nano-surface technology, biomaterials, anti-microbial materials, and cell/tissue manufacturing. The professors also discussed possible prospects involving faculty and graduate student exchange programs.
