MS in Management/MBA

  • MSMG students on the MS/MBA track must complete the following 7 required courses:
    • BUS 500 Business Law, Ethics, and Social Responsibility
    • FIN 500  Financial Information and Management
    • FIN 501  Economics for Managers
    • MIS 500  Innovating with Information Systems
    • MKT 500 Marketing Management 
    • OBC 500 Group and Interpersonal Dynamics in Complex Organizations
    • OIE 500 Analyzing and Designing Operations to Create Value
  • MSMG students on the MS/MBA track must also complete 3 elective courses from the School of Business. Sample electives:

    • ETR 594 Technology Commercialization: Project
    • ETR 596 Selling and Sales

    • MKT 564 Global Technology Marketing

    • OBC 533 Negotiations
    • OBC 535 Managing Creativity in Knowledge Intensive Organizations

  • After a minimum of 2 years of work experience, students return to complete the remaining courses toward earning an MBA.

    Required Courses:

    • OBC 501 Interpersonal and Leadership Skills

    2 Elective Courses from within the School of Business or other department

    Pre-Capstone Experience:

    Capstone Experience:

    • BUS 517 Graduate Qualifying Project

    MS in Management (MSMG)

    This program is designed for students who are looking for ultimate flexibility without the MBA curriculum.

    MSMG students must complete at least 4 of the following required courses:

    • ACC 503 Financial Intelligence for Strategic Decision Making
    • BUS 500 Business Law, Ethics, and Social Responsibility
    • ETR 500 Entrepreneurship and Innovation
    • FIN 500  Financial Information and Management
    • FIN 501 Economics for Managers
    • MIS 500 Innovating with Information Systems
    • MKT 500 Marketing Management 
    • OBC 500 Group and Interpersonal Dynamics in Complex Organizations
    • OIE 500 Analyzing and Designing Operations to Create Value
    • OBC 501 Interpersonal and Leadership Skills

    Students need to round out their program with elective courses (see Sample Electives from MS in Management / MBA Track)  This is not a complete list of possible electives; for additional options, refer to the Graduate Catalog.

    Students in this program complete BUS 501 Integrating Business Concepts to Lead Innovation.
