WPI provides the best possible opportunities to its graduates in terms of education with its up-to-date technology and equipment. Present job title and employer: Postdoctoral researcher in X-ray crystallography, UMass Medical School

How did your experiences at WPI prepare you for working in your field?
My working field is directly related to my PhD degree earned from WPI. I learned a lot of techniques in the areas of biochemistry, microbiology, and molecular biology at WPI. In addition, I gained a lot of expertise in scientific thinking and writing. I use all these areas of knowledge in my new career.

How has WPI’s philosophy of Theory and Practice, and working with teams, prepared you for facing real-world challenges in the workplace or graduate school?
WPI's philosophy of Theory and Practice helps students learn critical and analytical thinking and provides hands-on experience and direct involvement in research. In my opinion, that helps WPI graduates to efficiently solve problems, develop new ideas, and run/lead projects more successfully compared to most of their coworkers.

Groups or extracurricular activities you participated in at WPI:
At WPI, I was involved in a number of fun activities, including salsa dancing courses provided for WPI students, bowling at WPI's own bowling alley, swimming in the indoor pool, and of course many others.
