Here, you’ll be exposed to the cutting edge in chemistry and biochemistry, both in the classroom and through hands-on, real-world experience via lab and project work. Your WPI education helps form a complete chemist who challenges the status quo, translating into vast career opportunities. Our graduates go on to grad school, medical school, or working in industry, government, or hospital laboratories.

Before graduation, you’ll complete an Interactive Qualifying Project here or abroad, working to help solve a problem that affects humankind on a societal and technological level. And you’ll tackle a Major Qualifying Project within chemistry and biochemistry with a similar goal. Your research, conducted at facilities such as the Life Sciences and Bioengineering Center at Gateway Park, will allow you to work closely with our world-class faculty and benefit from the individualized attention that leads to greater learning.
