Full-time and part-time programs leading to the Master of Science degree are available. Students may follow two routes to the degree: (1) a non-thesis option requiring 30 graduate credits in course work, independent study or directed research, or (2) a thesis option also totaling 30 graduate credits and including a thesis of nine credits. The WPI Graduate Catalog features general information about graduate studies at WPI.
While most students use the M.S. program to pursue one technical area in considerable depth, it is perfectly acceptable to pursue a broader program spanning several areas within electrical and computer engineering. Your academic advisor will help you plan a program that matches your background and interests.
