Signal Processing for Classification of Arterial Plaques

This talk presents signal processing steps for determining the absolute backscatter characteristics ("backscatter signature") of carotid artery plaques, using Pulse-echo Ultrasound. The goal is to develop an improved in vivo method for classifying such plaques according to stroke risk.
