WPI ECE Grad Student Receives Honorable Mention for Artwork
Peter Serano, a second year graduate student in the ECE Department, received an honorable mention for a digital image of a computer simulation of a research project for a new MRI design that he submitted to the Fourth Annual Colleges of Worcester Consortium Art Show, sponsored by ARTSWorcester. Serano explains, "I created this plot while experimenting with Ansoft HFSS, It shows the vector representation of the surface current on the top loops of the breast coil. This was the default plot which is not really scaled that well and is zoomed way out (the box is 5 m^3), but I just liked the way it looked when it was first generated. This image along with another photography piece I did that also made it into the show are also available for sale at ARTSWorcester, 660 Main St."
