MathWorks Visit WPI
A team of technical experts from The MathWorks, located in Natick, MA, conducted a series of presentations followed by a collection of real-time, state-of-the-art demonstrations for a packed lecture room full of WPI ECE undergraduate and graduate students on Friday 27 April 2012. The presentations and demonstrations covered a wide range of activities currently underway at The MathWorks, including their efforts into communication systems engineering using software-defined radio and the Simulink software package, real-time speech communications analysis techniques and algorithms, execution of Simulink models on FPGA hardware, and advanced image processing techniques. Following the series of presentations, WPI ECE students were able to interact with the experts from The MathWorks, as well as try out some of the demonstrations themselves. The MathWorks also generously provided a pizza lunch for all the attendees of this event at WPI ECE.
