My research is in evolutionary and environmental biology, mostly in aquatic ecosystems. The best part about this work is taking students out for a dose of real field ecology-it’s about being too hot, too cold, covered in mosquitos and leeches, sunburned, lost in the woods… and loving every minute of it! Higher education has been a passion of mine for some years. Many years after earning a BS in education, I was drawn to graduate studies and earned an MEd in education from Boston College and then a few years later, an MS in counseling psychology from Assumption College.
Working with the Environmental and Sustainability Studies (ESS) program provides me with a wonderful opportunity to promote environmental, sustainability, and social justice issues that are so close to my heart. The ESS program attracts excellent students dedicated to making a difference in the world.
WPI students, faculty, and staff exude positive energy and enthusiasm. Such vitality makes WPI a wonderful place to work.
