Erika A. S. Hanlan
- Instructor, Humanities & Arts
- Affiliated with:
- Administrator of Theatre Technology
Erika's passion lies in uniting the pieces of creative expression to assist in the realization of art. As the administrator of theatre technology, she oversees the technical and managerial aspects of the productions that take place in WPI's Little Theatre. Erika brings together students with diverse backgrounds and interests to work together toward the common goal of a theatrical production. She encourages all involved to recognize the unique skills and talents that each member of a production team brings to the stage.
Understanding the interconnected and interdisciplinary nature of art, specifically theatre, requires those involved to be able to step back and see how all the pieces fit together. Erika combines her knowledge of arts management and business administration to guide students toward an experience where the path to production and the recognition of human involvement are no less important than the end performance.
Erika is currently enrolled in "The Innovators MBA" program at WPI. She plans to focus her studies on organizational behavior and change, as well as on the intersection of the arts and business worlds in relation to the field of Arts Management.
