Mark A. Norige
- Professor of Practice, Biomedical Engineering
All through my career in business, in both small and large organizations, I’ve enjoyed learning new things and teaching and mentoring others. My main interests are in the creation of successful new products and energizing high-performance teams to set and achieve world-class performance levels. I look to add my “real world” industry and technical expertise to WPI’s Biomedical Engineering faculty’s leading edge research and teaching expertise to enhance the BME students’ education.
Working and living mostly in New England for much of my career gives me a clear sense of the value WPI graduates offer to prospective employers and the impact they can make. While leading life science technology companies and as a parent I have gained multiple perspectives of WPI and value of a WPI education; I hired WPI graduates; I am the parent of a WPI graduate and I’ve been a member of the WPI Biomedical Advisory Board since 2000.
My background includes various positions in Engineering, Product Development, Project Management and Management and covers a variety of important technologies including; advanced materials, analytical instruments based on Chromatography, and Mass Spectrometry; high speed impedance measurement systems; bioresearch equipment and tools; microfluidics and bio separation equipment used in biotechnology.
