Stephen James Kmiotek

It’s wonderful to be back at WPI after spending more than 30 years in the chemical and environmental industries. My focus at WPI is to bring the lessons from these years as a practicing engineer and manager into the classroom and helping to implement projects that are practical and relevant to today’s needs. My focus through most of my career has been on Environmental, Health and Safety management, Process Safety Management, Air Pollution Engineering, and Pollution Prevention. Aside from being a graduate from WPI myself, I have had the opportunity to work with many WPI graduates throughout my career and have always been impressed with their practical, problem-solving abilities, high ethical standards, leadership skills and teamwork.
