Thomas Starr

• Adjunct Assistant Professor, Chemical Engineering

Having graduated from WPI, I enjoy coming back to share my industrial experience with senior chemical engineers. The one course I teach, Plant Design Project, offers students the opportunity to see how what they've already learned fits into a cohesive package, fleshed out with the practical considerations learned in my course. Teams come to appreciate the complexities of systems by actually working on them. The feeling of satisfaction is contagious, and working with excited young adults who are well prepared through previous course and project work makes my day.
