Teaching is one of the most rewarding aspects of my life. The diversity of the students at WPI motivates me to learn and develop new approaches to teaching and helps me build a strong set of teaching skills. I love sharing my passion and enthusiasm for science with students, helping them become critical thinkers in whatever professions they choose.
I have a broad range of research interests primarily centered around mathematical modeling. The developments in high-performance computing over the past few decades has led to the emergence of computational mathematics as a field that deals with development and application of novel algorithms to interdisciplinary problems in science and engineering. During my doctoral studies, I primarily focused on wave mechanics and application of level-set methods to inverse problems such as photolithography. Some of the current work I am involved in includes design of accurate algorithms in modeling of biopolymers in cells and image processing using level-set methods.
