WPI Campus ID Card Photo
You need a WPI ID Card to access buildings, dine, get mail, and use the library. Please send a headshot (similar to a passport photo) to firstname.lastname@example.org from your WPI email. Photos should be well-lit and have a solid background, preferably white. Stores such as CVS and Walgreens provide this service.
You want to be sure to set up your WPI email account so that you can connect to essential resources and people. All important student information is communicated to you through your WPI email account. This includes tuition payment information. You will receive an email in mid-May that will contain instructions and your PIN so that you can start your accounts.
Cars and parking
Commuter students may register their vehicles with WPI Police and receive a decal for on-campus parking for a nominal fee. First- year students residing on campus may not park on campus unless extenuating circumstances exist. For consideration, contact WPI Police in writing before arriving on campus: WPI Police Chief, 100 Institute Road, Worcester, MA 01609-2280.
WPI Mail Services is located in the Rubin Campus Center, lower level. You will be assigned a mailbox to be used for all four years. Get yours by logging into your WPI account. Any packages mailed prior to the start of New Student Orientation can be picked up on Sunday, August 25. You must show your student ID. Packages can be mailed to Your Name (as it appears on your WPI ID), WPI Mailbox #, 100 Institute Road, Worcester, MA 01609-2280.
New Student Record
The New Student Record is sponsored by WPI's title="Governance" target="_blank">Interfraternity and Panhellenic councils and contains information about the WPI fraternity/sorority community and photos of your classmates in the Class of 2018. You'll receive information from Herff-Jones, publisher of the New Student Record, on how to include your picture in the book and purchase a copy. Students find this a great way to identify their fellow classmates, so we encourage you to send a photo, even if you do not wish to purchase a book.
