Groundbreaking research is a cornerstone of WPI’s fire protection engineering department. The FPE faculty enjoys hard-earned international recognition in a wide range of research and practical specialties. And by taking part, students begin to tap into their most innovative selves, helping improve the safety of our world through new or improved solutions to firesafety problems, by developing new products, services, or design approaches, and by influencing regulatory policy.
