A. L. Brown Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded by the New England Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers to a full time student from New England (or attending New England institutions) who shows a demonstrated interest in fire protection. Percy Bugbee Fire Protection Engineering Scholarship
This $5,000 scholarship from the National Fire Protection Association is awarded to a fire protection engineering student who has demonstrated excellence in academic achievement and intent to perform a thesis or graduate project activity aimed at improving fire protection engineering methods.
Gerald L. Maatman Scholarship
Retired Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kemper Group insurance companies, Gerald L. Maatman was also the Fire Protection Engineering department head at Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a distinguished leader in the fire protection engineering and insurance field.
Society of Fire Protection Engineers, Atlanta Chapter, Scholarship
These scholarships are awarded by the Atlanta Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers to a full-time student from the Atlanta area or southern states who shows a demonstrated interest in fire protection.
John L. Jablonsky Scholarship
A person of unshakable integrity, John L. Jablonsky possessed a rare touch of fair play and justice and was quick to stand up for his convictions. Sensitive to the needs and rights of others, he was always willing to share his time and talents. He was a natural leader with both a rare ability to penetrate to the heart of problems and unusual self-control. Richard Licht Memorial Scholarship
The Passive Fire Protection industry would probably not be what it is today if not for the dedication of Richard Licht, who spent 35 years at 3M Company in St. Paul Minnesota in product development and business management and over 25 years of those years in fire protection. It became his dream to protect the public from fire injury and his work to drive the building codes so that we now have a much safer world.
