Humanities and Science Come Together

The interdisciplinary Science & Technology concentration within Humanities & Arts (HUA) touches on what the HUA Requirement is all about: Allowing students to take the best of several scientific and technological disciplines and merge them with the methods of the humanities and social sciences. This is one of the major ways a WPI education is unique, giving our graduates a major competitive advantage.

Inquiry Seminar

Since the Science & Technology concentration is inherently interdisciplinary, students draw on and concentrate on departmental specialties within traditional disciplines, such as history of science and technology, literature and science, and philosophy.

MEET THE INAUGURAL WPI ARTIST IN RESIDENCE

Technology meets art to create an electronic multimedia sculpture by Deborah Aschheim, WPI's first Artist in Residence. The Artist in Residency program brings together students and artists from outside the WPI community to create a work of public art.
