Design, Innovate, and Formulate
Our IMGD graduate program is ideal for students who want to study the design of immersive, interactive environments.
Students in our program come from various backgrounds--including college graduates continuing their education in interactive media, game industry professionals aiming for leadership roles, professionals from other fields retooling their skills for the game industry, as well as those seeking scholarship in interactive media.
As an IMGD graduate student at WPI, you’ll take core courses that provide a base of knowledge relevant to the design of interactive media, and choose courses from technical, serious games, or management focus areas that enable you to tailor your degree to suit your individual interests and career goals. You’ll also design, develop, and evaluate a substantial group project, and complete a unique thesis.
Students who complete their master of science degree in IMGD at WPI are qualified to pursue a diverse range of careers in interactive media, computer games, or related industries, as producers, designers, academics, or project leaders in the subfields of technology, art, or design.
