WPI Student Bryce Jassmond to Speak on Panel at PAX East
IMGD student will represent WPI in a talk about game development
IMGD student Bryce Jassmond will speak at the MassDiGI (Massachusetts Digital Games Institute) panel during PAX East. Several other students from different institutions such as Hampshire, Champlain, Becker, and UMass Amherst will be speaking.
Title of panel: Game Devs: The Next Generation.
Abstract: Games: the final frontier. These are the tales of five college students. Their continuing mission: to explore strange new titles, to seek out new genres and new platforms, to boldly go where no one has gone before. In this episode, the young developers are challenged to learn the black art of making a game in over eleven weeks at MassDiGI’s Summer Innovation Program. Hear them tell the story of how they met their goals and, in the process, overcame giant bugs, terrifying teamwork, wicked technical problems, diabolical daily builds, stale pizza and zombies.
Panelists: Tim Loew [Executive Director, MassDiGI], Monty Sharma [Managing Director, MassDiGI], Connie Hildreth [Student, Hampshire College], Bryce Jassmond [Student, WPI], Michael Flood [Student, Becker College], Desiree Fernandes [Student, Champlain College], Adam Roy [Student, UMass Amherst].
