Tracey is responsible for the overall management and vision of library services. Tracey has oversight of the library’s budget, personnel, and general policies. She communicates and collaborates with other Academic Affairs department heads and deans on programs and issues that overlap and intersect between departments. Tracey lives in Newton and operates an unofficial tourism office for Prince Edward Island – a very lovely spot that she visits annually. She and her husband enjoy traveling and are very proud of their two grown children.

Joan provides administrative support for the Dean of Library Services. She is a member of the team that regularly reviews fiction and nonfiction books to provide current bestsellers for the WPI community.
Access Services
Access Services oversees the following services: borrowing, course reserves, interlibrary loan, document delivery, and resource sharing with other libraries. We also are responsible for seeing that all items are returned to the shelves, oversee Tech Suite Reservations, and monitor the building for safety. Debbie administers and directs the operation of the Access Services Department. She monitors policies and procedures related to borrowing items, resource sharing, and room reservations. She is the liaison with Campus Police regarding building security. She also oversees the library student staff program. Debbie is an avid backpacker and hiker and loves to travel and spend time with her family.

Judy oversees and processes interlibrary loan requests for WPI-owned material that is sent to other libraries and institutions worldwide. She is responsible for the maintenance of stacks and supervises students in the areas of stacks and interlibrary loan. Judy also assists at the Information Desk. Judy is an avid reader who loves to sew and knit.

Tressa coordinates and processes interlibrary loan borrowing requests for the WPI community. She works with the Associate Director, Technology and E-Resources Management to support and maintain all library systems for Access Services. Tressa assists in all areas of Access Services with a focus on student employment. Tressa is a graduate of nearby College of the Holy Cross and has previously worked at the Worcester Art Museum.

Margaret manages WPI’s Archives & Special Collections. She receives and accessions new materials, and organizes and maintains collections and makes them accessible. She provides reference services to WPI staff, faculty, and students, as well as to other researchers. She is also responsible for the Robert Fellman Reading Room, which houses WPI’s Charles Dickens Collection and the rare book library.
Collection Management Services
Collection Management Services is responsible for providing materials and collections, in a variety of formats, both print and electronic, that meet the needs of the WPI community. We work to provide access to library collections though the library’s online catalog and digital collections systems, and we are responsible for preservation of collections.

- Assistant Director for Collections Management
Lora is responsible for the book and audio/visual collections, using analysis techniques to make decisions on collection growth based on the WPI curriculum and community interest. She communicates with library liaisons, academic departments, and vendors regarding book and A/V materials. She oversees cataloging of books, films, CDs, and ETDs, and preservation of collections. She creates metadata for digital collections and oversees the digitization of IQP/MQP reports from 1999 to 2007. Lora chairs the library’s Exhibits Committee and curates exhibitions in the Class of 1941 Gallery. When not at the library, Lora does photography, creates mixed-media collages and artists’ books, and knits.

- Preservation Librarian
Kathy manages library preservation and conservation programs, and curates the rare book and art collections. This includes repairing books from the general collections, conserving rare items from Special Collections & Archives, preserving the university’s art collections, and cataloging rare books and art. She also prepares materials for exhibitions or loans, and is a resource to the community for information on the care of books and other conservation issues. When she is not rebinding books, Kathy does costuming for her daughter’s ballet school and plays bass for the blues band Liquid Fuel.

Elenore assists with the cataloging of new books, IQP/MQP reports, and audio/visual materials. She keeps the library catalog up-to-date by removing items that are no longer current. She checks scanned IQP/MQP reports for accuracy and completeness, and assists with metadata creation for digital collections. She receives current print periodicals and claims lost and damaged issues with vendors and is responsible for coordinating binding of theses and journals. El loves spending time with her granddaughters Elizabeth and Megan.

Jackie works with faculty and library liaisons and library vendors to make sure requested material is received promptly. She places orders, processes invoices, and catalogs new library material. She also maintains accuracy and currency of holdings information in the library catalog, updating bibliographic information when necessary. She assists in library promotional and instructional efforts by creating videos, posters and flyers. Jackie is a member of the library’s Exhibits and Events Committee, and also serves on various other committees, as needed. She enjoys spending time outside and taking digital photographs of nature. She enjoys kayaking, and visits the ocean year round.

Don leads the library systems and digital services group, and directs the technology-based functions of the library such as the integrated library and digital asset management systems, discovery service, proxy services, and link resolver. He oversees the electronic resources budget and operations and supports the Dean of Library Services in budget and other administrative areas, particularly in the licensing and management of electronic resources. Don is a long-time member of the library staff who has experienced the evolution of technology in libraries. In their spare time he and his wife Janet enjoy reading, walking, travelling, and watching WPI basketball. Their son Matt is a digital artist.

Jess coordinates digital collections development and institutional repository services for the library and WPI community partners and stakeholders. As a member of the Digital Commonwealth Board of Directors and as an instructor for the Northeast Document Conservation Center and the Society of American Archivists (with her husband Greg), Jess actively advocates for and educates on digital creation, curation, and use topics large and small. She is a graduate of Tufts University (Go Jumbos!) and Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science. When she’s not thinking in bits and bytes, Jess spends time with her family and friends, tackles gluten-free baking challenges, and dabbles in painting and photography.

She is the library's representative to inFIRE, and serves as co-Liaison to the Fire Protection Engineering Department. Martha enjoys photography, mosaics, DIY, and reading. She has five cats, some with special needs.
