Ranger Challenge
An Enjoyable and Rewarding Opportunity to Excel
As Army ROTC's "varsity sport," the Ranger Challenge gives cadets yet another opportunity for exciting and challenging training. The annual event draws teams from more than 300 universities nationwide to participate in events such as:
- Basic rifle marksmanship
- Land navigation
- Army physical fitness test
- Field leadership reaction course
- Weapons assembly/disassembly
- Obstacle course
- 10-Kilometer forced road march
- One rope bridge
Locally, cadets compete against 18 New England schools, plus teams from other areas of the First ROTC Region, culminating in the First Region Championship at Camp Edwards, Massachusetts.
