GRAD 2012: The Innovation Exchange
Congratulations to our GRAD2012 winners!!!
It was a very exciting day for all of our students who attended the event on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 both in Alden Memorial Hall and the Campus Center Odeum. The 121 PhD graduate students presented their posters in Alden and the 95 MS graduate students presented in the Odeum. The award ceremony was held at 4:00 PM in the Odeum on the third floor. We are very proud to announce that five of our Graduate Students received awards this year.

1st Place: Haiyang Zou (MS), “Development of a Recycling Process for Li-Ion Batteries”, Advisor: Yan Wang, Diran Apelian.
3rd Place: Andrew L Biro (MS), “Friction Stir Welding in Aluminum and Magnesium Alloys: Effects of Processing Parameters on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties”, Advisor: Diana Lados.
1st Place: Mei Yang (PhD), “Gaseous Nitriding Process Control: Application of Customized Lehrer Diagrams”, Advisor: Richard Sisson.
1st Place: Anastasios G Gavras (PhD), “A Novel Methodology to Design Materials and Structural Components for Dynamic Performance”, Advisor: Diana Lados.
