Engineering Physics Major
Engineering Physics is the study of the combined disciplines of physics, engineering, and mathematics in order to develop an understanding of the interrelationships of these three fields. The Engineering Physics major at WPI allows students with strong interests in both physics and engineering to concentrate their studies in the common areas of these disciplines.
The goal of the Engineering Physics major program is to prepare students for engineering careers in which physics principles can be applied to the development of technology.
Students who choose an Engineering Physics major will develop sufficient depth in both engineering and physics skills and be able to relate fundamental physics to consequential engineering problems.
