Hazardous Materials
Examples of hazardous materials include, but are not limited to, biohazardous agents, compressed gas cylinders, cryogenic materials, radioactive sources and any chemical which is corrosive, flammable, reactive or toxic.
Testing Hazardous Materials
Are there any special ventilation requirements? Special electrical requirements? Need for a fume hood or biosafety cabinet? Any government agency permits required? Will the process generate any hazardous waste?

Use of the item may be hazardous
Is special training required? Are there physical hazards, such as high pressure, vacuum, electrical, magnetic fields, or noise? Are the original safeguards in place and operational?
This item must be disposed of in a particular way
Will rigging be necessary to remove it? Is the disposal regulated by a regulatory agency?
