Awarded for their project "Electromyography Input Interface: Enabling Intuitive Operation of Assistive Robotic Platforms"
Ph.D. candidate Velin Dimitrov and Professor Taskin Padir have been awarded the 2013 Kalenian Award. Their project, "Electromyography Input Interface: Enabling Intuitive Operation of Assistive Robotic Platforms", was selected from 22 applications. The project focuses on the design and validation of modular, user-centric interfaces to enable individuals with disabilities to control their environments and their assistive devices such as wheelchairs and prostheses.
