Faculty

You'll find some of the world's most respected educators at WPI. They are committed teachers and scholars with exceptional credentials. They continually earn awards and grants for their research and are often on the cutting edge of solving real-world problems through their work.

They are also passionate about teaching. The proof is in their responsiveness to students, day and night, outside of class as well as in class. In fact, the National Survey of Student Engagement has ranked WPI 1st out of 33 doctoral-intensive universities for "student-faculty interactions," a measure of the quality and quantity of time faculty spent with undergraduate students.

At WPI, you will be taught by professors (not graduate students or teaching assistants) in all of your courses. They’ll encourage you and respond to your questions—not by giving you the answers, but by helping you find them on your own.
