WPI Engineering Ambassador Program

The WPI Engineering Ambassador Program is a leadership development program with an outreach mission.  Through this program, undergraduate engineering students help to raise the visibility of engineering as a career option for all, and specifically for women and underrepresented groups.  The WPI students present to local middle school or high school students in order to demonstrate the importance of engineering to the health, happiness, and safety of our world.  The Engineering Ambassador Program helps undergraduate engineering students develop important professional skills, such as communication and leadership.  In playing a role in Changing the Conversation, the Ambassadors take part in training to develop their leadership, presentation, and communication skills.  During the summer, there is a possibility for the Ambassadors to participate in internships sponsored by one of the program’s corporate partners.

The Engineering Ambassadors were featured in this Daily Herd article.
