Early Admission

The WPI Office of Admission occasionally will accept applications from highly qualified and motivated juniors who are pursuing an accelerated program at their secondary school and wish to enter college a year early. This program is limited to students who have exhausted the course offerings of their school and are ready – academically and personally – for the challenges of a college environment.

In addition to meeting all of the standard application requirements, Early Admission candidates are also required to:

• schedule a personal interview with the Dean of Admissions; and
• submit a letter of support from their high school principal or guidance counselor attesting to the student's accelerated progress and the suitability of early admission to college.
