Foisie Scholars Program
One of WPI's newest scholarships is the Foisie Scholars Program. Each year up to 10 Foisie Scholars will be selected on a rolling basis from January until April. Each scholar will receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship and a one-time $5,000 allowance to be used for a WPI Global Studies experience.
This special new program is made possible through the vision and generosity of Robert Foisie. Robert Foisie received a mechanical engineering degree from WPI in 1956 and a master's degree from Cornell University in 1958. Foisie's many accomplishments in the field of engineering demonstrate his commitment to excellence and his passion for problem solving, both of which were fostered by WPI's unique academic program.
All applicants to WPI will be given consideration for the Foisie Scholarship.
Foisie Scholars will be selected on a rolling basis from January until April. Academic performance in high school, as well as standardized test scores or Flex Path submissions, will be closely considered in the selection process. If applicants would like to strengthen their candidacy, they are encouraged to complete the supplemental form as well as attach additional recommendations or other pertinent information they would like the scholarship committee to review.
The scholarship committee will look to identify and enroll a group of highly motivated students as Foisie Scholars, selected on the basis of academic achievement, work ethic, and the potential for outstanding personal and professional growth at WPI and beyond.
