STEM Saturdays is a WPI outreach program that provides half-day workshops focused on the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields for middle school-aged boys and girls as well as their parents and guardians. STEM Saturdays is generously funded by Intel and is sponsored by the WPI Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
Are you creative? A problem solver? Curious about the way things work and enjoy hands-on activities? Do you hope to make a real difference in the world someday? At WPI’s STEM Saturday Programs, you will work on projects that challenge you to think outside the box and further ignite your passion to make a difference in the world through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Guided by teachers and WPI students, with the same passion for discovery as you, you will work with your middle school peers, in a hands-on, team-based environment. As you explore topics in STEM, your parent/guardian, family member, or mentor, will also attend sessions to learn how to best support you and encourage you to excel in these areas. Generously funded by Intel, and hosted by the WPI Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Undergraduate Admissions Office, the STEM Saturdays program allows you to see what is possible and to better identify what your true interests and passions might be, connected to math and science. Your future is bright with so many opportunities, and we hope to introduce you to a whole new world of exploration! WPI is one of the nation’s premier science- and engineering-focused universities. STEM Saturdays is one of the many ways we reach out to middle school students just like you who have the potential to lead the world tomorrow...
