Edward J. Connor '92

Dean of Admissions

Hometown: Albany, NY
Why I am at WPI: Working at WPI keeps me feeling young. And I enjoy the strong academic atmosphere as well as the opportunity to have an impact on the lives of so many young people.  Read Ed's Blog

Michelle Carrara

Senior Assistant Director

Hometown: Arlington, VT
Advice to applicants: In your college essay, write about something that interests YOU. I can tell when you are writing something because you think it is what I want to hear rather than what you are truly passionate about. Also, please don't forget to spell-check and grammar-check!
Regional Responsibilities: Guam, Illinois, Minnesota, Rhode Island, and international locations: Africa, Australia, Europe, Latin America, South America

Julie Chapman

Senior Associate Director

Hometown: Westborough, MA
Why I am at WPI: WPI has a fantastic sense of purpose and pride, and a cooperative spirit that is unparalleled. We also have a beautiful campus in a great college city. And I love WPI students and faculty! They are invested, innovative, inviting people making amazing and significant contributions in Worcester and around the globe. What a great community to be a part of everyday!
Regional Responsibilities: Massachusetts

Emily Cox

Assistant Director

Hometown: Simsbury, CT
Regional Responsibilities: Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, West Virginia

Adam Epstein '05

Associate Director

Hometown: Chambersburg, PA
Advice to applicants: Make every effort to visit campus and ask yourself the question, "Can I picture myself living here for the next four years?" Keep in mind that the college you choose is more than just a place to learn; it's a place to live. Make sure you find the right fit.

Regional responsibilities: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Maryland, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wyoming.  Read Adam's Blog.

Kaitlin Gentile

Senior Assistant Director

Hometown: Candia, NH
Favorite part of WPI: WPI has so many interesting traditions—from Founder's Day to the class competitions and the illusive Goat's Head. It's great to see students having so much fun participating in events that have taken place for years. There is a lot of school spirit here.
Regional Responsibilities: Arkansas, Massachusetts, New York, Oklahoma, Texas

Karen Goudey

Associate Director

Hometown: Randolph, VT
Favorite place on campus: The bowling alley! After all, how many universities have their OWN bowling alley?? After that, my next favorite place would have to be the Higgins House with its gorgeous, Tudor-style architecture and gardens.
Regional Responsibilities: International locations: Asia, India, Middle East

Bonnie Hall

Associate Director

Hometown: Hanover, NH
Favorite place on campus: That's tough! I have to say Harrington Auditorium gym basketball court where I play ball over lunch (connecting) with colleagues and students.
Regional Responsibilities:  Florida, Massachusetts, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands

Jason Laperriere

Senior Assistant Director

Hometown: Gardner, MA
Advice to applicants: Take charge of your own college application process! Don't make/let someone else do all the work for you. I am consistently impressed when students call on their own behalf with questions about WPI or the application process. It shows a great deal of maturity and responsibility—traits that are essential to have when going away to college!
Regional Responsibilities: Georgia, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Wisconsin

Eliza Laurent

Senior Assistant Director

Hometown: West Boylston, MA
Favorite thing about Worcester: There are so many things about Worcester that I love since I grew up here. I guess a big thing would have to be the number of restaurants that are in the area. You really can find all different types of food to explore in very close proximity.
Regional Responsibilities: Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania. Read Eliza's Blog

Jenna Noel-Grinshteyn

Assistant Director

Hometown: Paxton, MA
Regional Responsibilities: Connecticut, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, New Jersey, New York

Sue Sontgerath '88

Assistant Director of Admissions

Regional Responsibilities: Massachusetts
