WPI Management Head in Who's Who in the World

WORCESTER, Mass. --McRae C. Banks III of Holden, Mass., the Harry G. Stoddard Professor of Management and head of the Management Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, has been selected for inclusion in the 13th edition of Who's Who in the World. The book, which is published every other year, includes profiles of individuals from around the world who have achieved distinction in their fields.
Banks, who was a professor of management at Mississippi State University's College of Business and Industry before assuming his post at WPI in August 1995, earned a B.A. and a Ph.D. at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and an M.A. at Northwestern University. He joined the Mississippi State faculty in 1987 after five years as an assistant professor in the College of Business and Economics at Radford University in Radford, Va. From 1992 to 1995 he was director of placement for the Academy of Management and is a former international president of the Society for the Advancement of Management.
