WORCESTER, Mass. The following Worcester Polytechnic Institute students were recently elected to leadership posts in the Student Government Association for 1996-97.
President: Matt Freimuth, a junior majoring in chemical engineering with biomedical interests, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Freimuth of Bristol, Conn. Freimuth is a member of Masque, the Institute's theater group.
Vice President: Cindy Vollaro, a senior majoring in biotechnology, is the daughter of Iris and Robert Vollaro of Derby, Conn. Vollaro is a member of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority and the Student Alumni Society and vice president of the cheerleading squad.
Secretary: Jennx Yambert, a senior with a double major in civil engineering and society, technology and policy, is the daughter of Nels A. Yambert of Evanston, Ill., and Leslie Yambert of Makanda, Ill. Yambert is a member of the staff of Newspeak, the WPI newspaper, a MASH (Mathematics and Science Help) Leader, a Writing Center tutor and a member of Masque, Chi Epsilon, the civil engineering honor society, Tau Beta Pi, Alpha Phi Omega, the national service fraternity, the Pre-Law Society, the French Circle and the women's crew team.
Treasurer: Mickey D. LaCroix, a senior majoring in chemistry. LaCroix, son of Ms. Terry LaCroix of Durham, Maine, is a member of Masque and the Ultimate Frisbee team.
Senators-at-Large: Terry Fay, a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering with biomedical interests, is the son of Craig Fay of Santa Maria, Calif., and Dellamae Pittman of Porterville, Calif. He is the social officer for Zeta Psi fraternity.
Jennifer M. Johnson, daughter of Carol Ann and Ultan Pat Johnson of Salmon, Idaho, is a senior majoring in biochemistry. She is a peer-learning assistant in biology, secretary to the Pep Band, and a member of the Skeptical Chemists.
Jeremy Olszewski, a senior majoring in actuarial mathematics, is the son of John and Phyllis Olszewski of Framingham, Mass. Olszewski is a resident advisor, president of the Actuarial Club, and a member of Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society, and Pi Mu Epsilon, the mathematics honor society.
