High School Juniors Receive WPI Society and Technology Book Awards

WORCESTER, Mass. Five high school juniors have received Worcester Polytechnic Institute Society and Technology Book Awards from WPI's Social Science & Policy Studies Department. The awards, presented at each high school's graduation, honor students who excell in the study of physical science and social studies and exemplify the WPI ideal of the technological humanist. Each student received a copy of Taking Sides: Clashing Views on Controversial Issues in Science, Technology and Society by Thomas A. Easton.
The 1996 winners are:
Heather Diamond of Doherty High School, Worcester, Mass., Ian Finn of Westborough High School, Westborough, Mass., Toan Nguyen of North High School, Worcester, Mass., Mark Ogborn of Nashoba Regional High School, Bolton, Mass., and Chetak Reshamwala of Shrewsbury High School, Shrewsbury, Mass.
