Worcester, Mass. -- Students Jeff Bayko, a senior mechanical
engineering major from Newbury, Mass., and
Christine Biscotti, a sophomore chemical engineering major from Glastonbury,
Conn., represented WPI at a recent Worcester City Council meeting. They and
representatives of the other colleges in Worcester received recognition for
their city-wide cleanup efforts from Mayor Raymond Mariano and the City
Council. The Colleges of Worcester Consortium cleanup, conducted on April
10, involved more than 700 college students and collected 30 tons of
refuse. WPI Student Life was in charge of organizing the efforts this year.
The responsibility rotates among the different colleges.
