Girls in Science Day Takes Place at Massachusetts Academy on Friday, March 10

Worcester, Mass. - The third annual Girls in Science Day will take place on Friday, March 10, at the Massachusetts Academy of Mathematics and Science, located on the WPI campus. This year the academy will host an expected 40 girls from the Leominster Southeast Middle School.

The girls will arrive on campus at 9 a.m. and participate in hands-on workshops, listen to a panel discussion from engineers, tour the Worcester Regional Science Fair (on campus on March 10) and have lunch before departing at 2 p.m. Massachusetts academy students will assist in the workshops.

Girls in Science Day is a program to educate and interest local girls in the study of science and engineering and consider these professions as a possible future career.
