WPI's Service Fraternity Sponsors 'The Sleepout' Feb. 13

WHO: Worcester Polytechnic Institute's Alpha Phi Omega, (APO) the national co-ed service fraternity.
WHAT: An event called "The Sleepout," a yearly effort to focus attention on homelessness.
WHEN: Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. through Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 7 a.m.
WHERE: Students sit out on the WPI Quad. At 8 p.m. Feb. 13, the group sets up for an overnight outdoor stay under the overhanging roof of Harrington Auditorium.
WHY: "We do this every February to bring to the attention of Worcester residents the plight of homeless people especially at this time of year," said organizer Erin Sullivan, a WPI junior from Fitchburg, Mass. "Any money raised through good-will donations is given to shelters in the area."
