WORCESTER, Mass. - The New England Africa Business Conference (NEABC) has been rescheduled for January 25, 2002.
The conference, organized by Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in cooperation with the Corporate Council on Africa, was established to create opportunities for businesses to interact with government agencies and individuals from the United States and Africa to establish firm links with the emerging economy of Africa. The conference was originally scheduled to take place in Boston on September 21.
"Given the tragic events of last week, we thought it would be too difficult to go forward at this time when our nation and the world need to mourn," said conference chair and WPI Professor of Management, Dr. Arthur Gerstenfeld. "We also recognize that there may be many travel and logistical concerns for attendees and believe we can better serve all by rescheduling at a later date."
Refunds will be sent to those who had registered for the event, and new registration information will be mailed in November. For additional information regarding the rescheduled program, visit www.wpi.edu/News/Conf/.
