WPI Community Celebrates Winter Carnival 2002

Worcester, MA - December 2, 2002 - This weekend the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) community will take a break from academics and indulge in a number of events all for Winter Carnival 2002. This years Winter Carnival committee, chaired by William L. Herbert 05 and Gregory Tuers 06 has been planning since the beginning of A Term to make sure that this years Winter Carnival is bigger and better than last years.

This years headline show for Winter Carnival is Jim Breuer, who will be performing to a sold out crowd in Alden Hall. Other events for the weekend include performances by WPIs acapella groups Simple Harmonic Motion and Interstate 8. Also holding their first event during Winter Carnival will be Kilroy, WPIs own sketch comedy group.

About Winter Carnival

Winter Carnival, now in its fifth year, is the winter-time counterpart to Quadfest. Like Quadfest, its a chance for students to take a break from studying and relax.
