WPI to Host Regional Brownfields Cleanup and Redevelopment Workshop Sept. 30

Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Worcester Community Project Center and the Center for Public Environmental Oversight (CPEO) will host a regional workshop on community based approaches to brownfields cleanup and redevelopment. The workshop will address the question of how brownfields redevelopment can fit into a community's vision, resources, and needs and will focus on three issues: building affordable housing on brownfields; converting brownfields to open space and parks; and school siting on brownfields. The event is open to the public.

Saturday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Olin Hall, Room 107
Worcester, Mass.
