WPI Venture Forum to Focus Entrepreneurs on High-Performance Teams that Win Investor Trust

The March 10 WPI Venture Forum features three established entrepreneurs, who will address many of the hiring questions business owners face – from the perspective of venture capital, human resources, and general management. The event starts at 5:30 p.m., and will be held in the Campus Center Odeum.

What

This month’s Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Venture Forum will feature three entrepreneurs addressing many of the hiring questions business owners face, from the perspective of venture capital, human resources, and general management. A top priority for budding entrepreneurs is to build a high-performance management team to lead the company and win investor trust.

  • Larry Jasinski, president and CEO of Soteria Inc., will offer the management perspective, as he runs a company specializing in less-invasive treatment of orthopedic compression fractures.
  • Panelist Maureen Tarca is director of human resources for Westford, Mass.-based Cynosure, a leading developer and manufacturer of a broad array of light-based aesthetic and medical treatment systems.
  • Providing the venture capital point of view on hiring, John L. Brooks III, of Healthcare Capital Consulting, brings a wealth of strategic, clinical, operational, and financial experience with life science companies.
  • The Venture Forum's case presentation will feature Motus Medical, a privately held company launching patented, 3D wireless motion-capture technology in physical therapy, rehabilitation, and patient monitoring. Founder and CEO John Bojanowski has 25 years experience as a sales and marketing professional, with the last 16 years in the medical device business.
