WPI's Women's Basketball Team Wins ECAC Division III New England Championship
WPI's women's basketball team won the ECAC Division III New England Tournament with a 43-36 victory over top-seeded Nichols College on Sunday. It was the team's second ECAC New New England Tournament championship in three years. With the win, the team's record is 24-6, a new team mark for wins in a single season. The men's team fell to UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, compleing its fifth straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Championships.

WPI's women's basketball team won its second ECAC Division III New England Championship in three years on Sunday afternoon with a 43-36 victory over top-seeded Nichols College. With the win, the team's final season record stood at 24-6, a new school record for most victories in a season.
WPI's seniors, Natasha Deschene (Presque Isle, Maine) and Caitlin Macko (Cromwell, Conn.), finished their WPI careers with a 78-33 record, the most wins by any class in WPI's history.
The season ended for the men's team with an 81-68 loss to UMass Dartmouth in round two of the NCAA Division III Championships. It was the team's fifth straight appearance in the tournament. The men (21-6) defeated Husson (Bangor, Maine) 86-57 in the opening round on Friday evening.
