WPI to Hold Annual Pops Concert on Nov. 1

The holiday season is upon us, and WPI is welcoming it by hosting its annual Pops Concert on Saturday, Nov. 1, featuring the university’s concert and stage bands as well as retired Boston Symphony Orchestra trombonist Ronald Barron.

WORCESTER – The annual Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Pops Concert will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 in Alden Memorial Hall, featuring the WPI Stage Band, directed by Richard Falco, and the WPI Concert Band, directed by Douglas Weeks. The guest soloist will be Ronald Barron, a retired principal trombonist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra who received the 2005 ITA Award from the International Trombone Association.

Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, and $2 for trombone students.
