WPI Venture Forum to Focus on Successful Sales, Marketing Strategies
The Feb. 10 WPI Venture Forum will feature three risk-taking entrepreneurs talking about their decisions and doubts in pursuit of success and achievement. All three have taken big risks to found cutting-edge startups with successful sales and marketing strategies. The Venture Forum starts at 5:30 p.m., and it will be held in the Campus Center Odeum.
This month’s Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) Venture Forum will feature three risk-taking entrepreneurs talking about their decisions and doubts in pursuit of success and achievement. All three have taken big risks to found cutting-edge startups with successful sales and marketing strategies.
- Boston Chamber of Commerce’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” Dr. Janet Wolfe is president and founder of Watertown, Mass.-based Wolfe Laboratories. WLI provides pharmaceutical research and development in the areas of formulation and bioanalytical support, leveraging its development expertise to help advance early stage compounds into the clinic.
- Jeff Schiebe brings more than 25 years of senior-level international sales, marketing, and business development experience to his role of introducing CallerXchange to emerging and established mobile markets around the world. He identifies key markets and potential operators who would be instrumental in breaking CallerXchange into new service areas. Schiebe also forges relationships with key accounts, including global mobile operator groups such as Orange, T-Mobile, and Vodafone.
- Andrew Heafitz is lead engineer for Terrafugia, the company that is building the revolutionary “car that flies.” He brings 18 years’ experience in composite automotive construction and testing to the Terrafugia team. Heafitz has designed, built, and raced light-weight composite solar cars across the Australian outback.
