Former President Bill Clinton Appears at Senate-Race Rally Held at WPI

Clinton appeared in WPI's Alden Memorial at a campaign rally for Senate candidate Martha Coakley on Friday, Jan. 15. While the rally was under way, supporters of Coakley's opponent, Scott Brown, assembled outside the building.

On Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, U.S. Senate candidate Martha Coakley held a campaign rally that included President Bill Clinton and U.S. Congressman Jim McGovern in WPI’s Alden Memorial. While the rally was under way, supporters of Coakley's opponent, Scott Brown, assembled outside the building.

The Coakley campaign rented the WPI facility for the rally and paid all fees and expenses incurred for its use. As a non-profit institution, WPI does not endorse political candidates.
