WPI to Present 'Museum Visionary' Nina Simon at Higgins Armory on Sept. 22

This interactive workshop features WPI alumna Nina Simon; an exhibit designer described as a “museum visionary” by Smithsonian Magazine. Ms. Simon will share her vision for the future of cultural institutions as personal, dynamic and collaborative places for visitor engagement. Museum professionals from throughout the region will gather to participate in the seminar and hands-on workshop. Ms. Simon is the author of The Participatory Museum and the popular Museum 2.0 blog. She is on the board of the Center for the Future of Museums and has served on advisory committees for IMLS and AAAS projects about 21st Century Skills and the future of museums and libraries. Simon is also an adjunct professor at the University of Washington Museology program, teaching a course on Social Technologies in Exhibition Design.
