WPI A Cappella Group Sings National Anthem at Red Sox vs. Yankees Game
WORCESTER, Mass. – On Sept. 28, the Boston Red Sox sent the New York Yankees packing for the season with a 4-3 win. That nail-biter of a game was kicked off by none other than a performance of the national anthem by Simple Harmonic Motion (SHM), Worcester Polytechnic Institute's only all-male a cappella group. Not only was the group’s rendition of America’s favorite song outstanding, but for Red Sox Nation, it will be remembered for kicking-off the demise of the Yankees’ 2008 season.
